A legal counsel is required for a well-respected premier international investment bank. The role is based in London's Docklands.

The bank's global trust services is primarily a trustee group which delivers a full range of third party services for asset backed securitisation and collateral debt obligations through a dedicated team of professionals. The legal team plays a significant part in the bank's continual growth, and works very closely with all the various client-facing and business supporting teams.

Responsibilities will focus on the review of transaction documents. You will co-ordinate input to documents from analysts and transaction managers and liaise with external counsel, as well as review ad hoc legal documentation.


General legal knowledge and experience, (e.g. interpretation, execution and enforceability of documents) is required. Experience in capital markets gained in private practice or in house or other environment is essential (securitisation in particular is an advantage).


This role is perfect for a qualified lawyer that can think for themselves, consistently meet deadlines working under pressure and additionally, present and action new ideas for improved legal coverage. The candidate must be a self-starter, well motivated, energetic and enthusiastic about the success of their areas of responsibility.
