Experienced Programme Office Manager required for a prestigious Investment Management organisation. With a reputation for excellence in advice and execution on a global scale, their UK offices are based in Edinburgh and London and they also have a strong Europe-wide presence. This role has come about due to an internal transfer and the organisation is renowned for offering a diverse range of career options.
The Manager of the PMO will effectively lead and manage a multi-national project management group delivering cost saving, revenue generating, business continuity, process improvement and regulatory projects. This role reports directly to the Director of the PMO and you will have responsibility for 3 direct reports and 15 indirect reports. You will guide your direct reports who will be leading the project management teams who are located around the world to deliver technical and non-technical projects with early and sustained benefits.
As the PMO Manager you will lead and develop employees within the PMO division to ensure that divisional goal and objectives are met for strategic or complex projects. You will ensure successful communication with senior leadership, stakeholders and project teams while providing transparency in project progress, funding, partnerships, prioritisation, resource availability and reporting. In this role you will act as a consultant with senior leadership on project feasibility and approach. You will minimise issues and support resolution given experience and understanding of the business market, technology and global context. It will be expected that you will recommend and implement continuous improvements to increase PMO internal efficiency and quality.
To be considered for this outstanding opportunity my client is looking for an experienced PMO Manager with highly developed leadership skills who has significant experience in managing distributed teams in multicultural environments. You will have experience managing medium sized finance, information technology or workflow improvement projects. The successful candidate will have experience, including substantial client interaction, in one or more of the following areas: Business analysis for finance and/or information technology projects, systems analysis, development, and conversion or securities, financial services, or accounting industry.
