Our client one of Edinburgh's largest Financial Services Companies is looking to recruit an Accountant to join a small dedicated finance department within a successful and rapidly growing business unit . Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide management and technical support.

Role

Production and analysis of financial information for internal and external reporting,
including management accounts, MARs , SARs, statutory accounts and regulatory returns.
Creation, maintenance and improvement of financial models to ensure appropriate accounting and effective financial analysis.
Preparation and analysis of information for the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting process.
Identification, recommendation and implementation of agreed changes to financial processes and systems to reflect business needs and operational requirements.
Contribution to project initiatives, taking responsibility for the development and implementation of specific deliverables and ensuring these are achieved within the required time, cost and quality parameters.
Management, motivation, development and appraisal of team members.

Experience Required

Qualified (or possibly part-qualified )accountant
Experience of a Group reporting / financial services environment
Experience of using financial systems
Experience of leading / managing a team desirable
Knowledge of Excel
