• Closer Bank Loans Middle Office Derivatives Operations - London

A closer is required, for bank loans middle office within derivatives operations of a pre-eminent investment bank. The role is based in London.


The bank loans middle office team are a midsized group of professional closers supporting the origination, syndication, and secondary market trading of performing and non-performing loans. The successful candidate will join the team who cover bank loans trades from execution through closing.


The role involves monitoring trading systems for new trades; confirming said trades with outside clients; insuring the proper internal approvals are obtained; producing and monitoring confirms; drafting transfer documents, and liaising with our servicing team to insure pricing is produced and trades are settled within the system.


The role provides a high level of interaction with trading, sales and outside clients, as well as exposure to in-house lawyers, compliance, credit, regulatory teams and other operations areas covering the trading desk.


The ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines is essential, and you will have excellent interpersonal skills and self-confidence, including the ability to deal with demanding business people, protecting the interests and reputation of the firm whilst maintaining a commercial outlook.


Knowledge of bank loans closing, servicing, or other operations areas, is preferred. Paralegal/law firm/drafting experience or training is highly desirable.
