A fantastic opportunity for a VAT Manager to join a well known and reputable Insurance company based in the heart of the City. This globally successful Insurance company strongly believes in progression and development and would encourage internal promotion. The position of VAT Manager would be working within the specialised and professional Finance team.
The position of VAT Finance Manager would involve handling the UK VAT Compliance for the company and its subsidiaries, liaising with the accountants, ensuring compliance requirements are met, provide advise and handle queries regarding VAT, identifying problems with system and implementing new procedures, oversee the VAT Accounting practices, develop programme's for staff development and producing reports for management.
Skills and knowledge required:
- Proven VAT experience within Insurance or Accountancy practice
- Understanding of Accounting principles
- Background within financial services
Interpersonal skills:
- Ability to self manage & prioritise
- Ability to network and form effective working relationships
- Flexibility to change with developments and change
