Enjoying a period of steady growth in their Edinburgh offices our client is currently looking for an experienced Senior Investment Operations Manager to join as a Business Unit Head. In this role you will be responsible for managing long term, strategic client relationships and service delivery for allocated clients ensuring that client requirements are met consistently and profitably.

As a Fund Administration Business Unit Head key accountabilities will include:
Leading coaching and motivating staff particularly direct reporting managers.
Providing leadership on business and technical issues across the organisation
Working with the Senior Management team in shaping policy and strategic direction for the business
Develop and communicate a clear picture of business goals and approaches to business, based on a clear understanding of client requirements.
Ensure that the department operates efficiently and that all procedures across the teams are standardised.
Generate ideas for, and contribute to, the development of new products and services.
Develop and maintain good relationships with Senior Staff in each allocated client organisation and with counterparts in internal departments
Act an escalation point for Client Communication by participating in Service Reviews and ad hoc client meetings
Provide regular formal and informal briefings on industry, company and department issues and opportunities.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients, third parties and colleagues communicating effectively through formalised reporting and ad hoc liaison.
Actively participate in expanded management forums and communicate appropriately to the departments
Be aware and understand the risks inherent within the department and the potential effect of non-compliance and take appropriate corrective action

The successful Fund Administration Business Unit head will have experience of working at a Senior Management Level within fund administration you should be a Qualified accountant and/or Qualified Tax Accountant
You will have had experience of training and supervising managerial staff on a day to day basis. This is an outstanding opportunity that offers an extremely competitive package and excellent long term career prospects.
