Manager Synthetics Middle Office - AVP - London


The equity synthetics middle office of our esteemed client acts as a trade co-ordination group for the European swaps business.


The team provides front to end support for the trading and sales function through the trading process. The group monitors positions, ensures that the delta strategy remains intact and works closely with the traders, clients and settlements groups to make sure that all trades are successfully executed. As a successful candidate, you will have the day-to-day responsibility for a group of 7 people, supporting the core flows for the synthetics business.


The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the equity derivative markets with particular emphasis on operational flow and requirements for equity swap transactions. They should have a good understanding of corporate action events, and an excellent appreciation of operational controls.


This is a high profile role; applicants should have a very strong attention to detail and be able to handle many competing demands and tasks at once. They should be at ease talking to a variety of different groups in the execution process and be able to make decisions based on an assessment of risk to the firm, service quality, and control.
