Position: Casualty Underwriter - Glasgow

Our Client a large well respected Insurance Company with offices worldwide are currently looking for a Senior Casualty Underwriter to work within their Glasgow office.

Duties for the role of Casulaty Underwriter will include:

Meeting the portfolio product line objectives of casualty agreed for each underwriting year. This includes targets in respect of growth, retention, pricing and loss ratios for each line of business.
Develops and implements a business plan for Casualty in line with the overall commercial business plan.
Acts as the senior Authority Holder in the team and recommends appropriate levels of authority for the underwriters. Ensuring compliance with appropriate Underwriting Guides and procedures.
Handle both renewal and new business enquiries
Meeting company standards in respect of policy documentation, premium debiting and compliance issues.
Works closely with the Business Development Manager to develop & deliver a Broker Development Strategy. This includes building productive relationships with brokers and delivering in a timely and efficient manner.


Successful candidates will be in possession of ACII (or progression towards), and as this is a Senior position, must have Extensive experience in a similar role

Salary £40,000- £50,000 (dependent on experience) plus fantastic benefits
