Excellent Claims Opportunities in Oxford
We are currently recruiting for 13 positions within the new professional indemnity claims handling subsidiary of a leading International law firm, based in Oxford. The claims unit is being established to meet demand from insurance clients and will be focused on providing a complete solution for pre-litigated professional indemnity claims on a delegated authority basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a brand new team. And, with full support from the parent company, this new facility will enjoy strong market relations and is expected to grow its client base and portfolio of claims. The successful team of highly efficient claims handlers will control their own claims portfolio, from first advice to final settlement, and will enjoy a streamlined settlement process that gives them more autonomy over individual claims.
We're currently looking to recruit for the following positions within the claims handling unit:
1 x Claims manager, salary up to £80,000 per annum
2 x Claims team leader, salary up to £53,500 per annum
5 x Claims handler, salary up to £40,000 per annum
5 x Paralegal, salary up to £18,000 per annum
Applications are encouraged from candidates with either a legal or insurance background.
Requirements for candidates with a legal background:
Our client is looking for both junior and senior level candidates from a legal background, ranging from recent graduates (LLM, LPC, BVC) to paralegals and qualified solicitors.
Junior level candidates should have a basic knowledge and understanding of insurance claims (professional indemnity, employers liability, public liability, personal injury, RTA).
Qualified solicitors looking for a more senior role should have a good understanding of Solicitors Negligence claims from either an in-house role or private practice. Salary will be dependent on experience.
Requirements for candidates with an insurance background:
Again, our client is looking for a range of insurance claims professionals to join the team. Ideally, candidates will have experience in Professional Indemnity claims from an Insurance Company, Lloyd's Syndicate or Broker environment. Salary will be dependent on experience.
For the team leader and claims manager roles it is necessary for candidates to have experience in managing/supervising a claims team.
