Equity Derivative New Business Group - London

One of the world's foremost investment banks requires a professional for their services for the Equity Derivative New Business Group.

The New Business Group are a newly created team currently made up of 4 people whose key responsibilities are the management of all new product approvals and all New Business requirements on a European scale on behalf of the Equities division within Global Markets.

The key tasks include:-

- pro-actively managing any new business initiative or new product approval requirement. This could include brand new products, new areas, trading on new markets or on new currencies.
- Ensuring that there are records of accurate and comprehensive operational guides and procedures on all projects undertaken.
- training on initiatives to the key areas responsible for running with projects such as middle office or operations.
- to proactively look for ways to improve the processes already in place to help drive change and
maximize efficiencies and drive down costs.
- look to actively participate in regular meetings on topics surrounding our products or new initiatives
- to provide subject matter expertise on a wide variety of issues / problems which get raised by all areas.

Responsibilities include: assisting the front office with profit & loss and risk discrepancies; active monitoring of straight through processing feeds and management of exceptions; active management of any front office queries relating to the booking process; management of new funds matching process and trade capture in front office risk management system; and effective escalation to senior management for any issues that may arise.

You will ideally have proven experience in working in a financial markets environment and have a good knowledge of equity (derivative) products.
